Summary:

Private investigator Charlotte Davidson was born with three things: looks; a healthy respect for the male anatomy; and the rather odd job title of grim reaper. Since the age of five, she has been helping the departed solve the mysteries of their deaths so they can cross over. Thus, when three lawyers from the same law firm are murdered, they come to her to find their killer.
In the meantime, Charley's dealing with a being more powerful - and definitely sexier - than any spectre she's ever come across before. With the help of a pain-in-the-ass skip tracer, a dead pubescent gangbanger named Angel, and a lifetime supply of sarcasm, Charley sets out to solve the highest profile case of the year and discovers that dodging bullets isn't nearly as dangerous as falling in love.

Review:
Charlotte Davidson is different from the average human being. Firstly she is insanely good looking, secondly, she has a tendency for getting in dangerous situations and lastly, she has a very unconventional job: she's the Grim Reaper (besides being a PI). She has been helping the departed solve the mysteries of their deaths since she was five, allowing them to cross over.
When three lawyers from the same firm are murdered, their souls appeal for her help, in order to find their killer and bring him to justice. What Charley uncovers ends up being way beyond her wildest expectations and being even more dangerous than she thought.
Charley has another situation to deal with, we could say, a very sexy situation with a very sexually appealing spectrum. With the help of a very annoying skip tracer,  a dead pubescent gangbanger and her lovely friend/assistant Cookie she tries to solve the highest profile case of the year while also finding out how difficult to kill she is.
I learned of this book through a very dear friend of mine and, at first, I have to admit that I was a little hesitant at first. My first thought (from the back cover) was that the book would have crazy amounts of sex scenes and no plot at all. I was wrong (and I'm very happy about it)!
Instead of shallow uninteresting characters, I found deeply charismatic and entertaining ones. I found characters that actually change and evolve and are really super funny. Even though it still has some sex scenes, they don't come out of thin air and for no reason at all.
If you like a charismatic and well-done plot with lots of funny and deep characters then this is good for you. Please remember that this book contains some explicit sexual content and if you don't feel comfortable with that kind of thing it may not be for you.
