Summary:

Ivy Morgan hasn't been feeling like herself lately. Not like anyone can blame her. After all, being held captive by a psychotic fae prince hell-bent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld is bound to leave some mental scars.
It’s more than that, though. Something dark and insidious is spreading throughout Ivy, more powerful than she could ever imagine... and it’s coming between her and the man she’s fallen deeply in love with, elite Order member Ren Owens.
Ren would do anything to keep Ivy safe. Anything. But when he makes a life altering choice for her, the fallout of his act has far reaching consequences that threaten to tear their lives apart.
If Ivy is going to have any hope of surviving this, she must put aside the hurt and betrayal she feels, and work with not only those she loves, but with an enemy she would rather kill than ever trust. War is coming, and it soon becomes clear that what Ivy and Ren thought they knew about the Order, themselves, and even their enemies, has been nothing but a cluster of dangerous, deadly lies.
Ivy knows she must be more than just brave to save those she loves--and, ultimately, to save herself.
Because behind every evil fae Prince, there’s a Queen….

Review:
After being held hostage by an ancient fae evil prince, Ivy Morgan does not feel quite right. Something deep inside her is different and she is drowning within herself without even knowing why. Her boyfriend Ren, also a member of the Order and in the Elite, had also been in captivity but besides his own problems, his very worried about Ivy. They are madly and deeply in love with each other but Ivy is isolating herself and getting more distant with every day.
Ren would do anything to keep his lover safe, as would Ivy but they find themselves in a world of unknowns where tomorrow's dangers await, hidden in the shadows. In the midst of all of this, Ren is forced to make a life-altering choice for Ivy what affects their relationship even more.
Ivy, Ren and the fae must come to terms with their situation in order to fight a very powerful enemy, that could end the world. With Ivy's changes, they have an advantage although a Queen they never imagined was alive may arise again and defeat them all.
This is the last book in the Wicked Trilogy and it is with a mix of sadness and joy that I see it end. Rean, Ivy and the unforgettable Tink are very powerful characters and I am sure that they will be in my mind constantly (I may just have to re-read the whole series). I also have to admit that the Buffy-esque "fae" hunter plot had me over my heels from the first book, however, this series conclusion is what really made it really good.
The characters from the previous books find in this one a turning point of development. Each one is a very individual moment, the things that have been building up from the start finally start to unroll and you will love it. The aspect of diversity, fluidity and sexuality did not escape the author and there is actually a lot of diverse representation in the story. I will confess that at certain points of this book I found myself saying things such as"go girl" and "YES!!!" out loud (even in the middle of the night).
Like many of other Jennifer L. Armentrout's books, Brave has some serious sensual sex scenes. They are amazingly delicious to read but be careful if you are listening to the book out loud, people in your surroundings may be bothered by the detailed content (your lovely blogger over here made that mistake).
If you are interested in finding some closure to this amazing series, then I advise you to prepare yourself to devour this book.

Here is a graphic demonstration of my feelings about Ivy's badassness:
